The ASAP 2080 is a new 2X8 line sharing device that’s compact and easy to install, with a price that makes it an exceptional value. It can be used with almost any type of phone system, from a single line to a KSU/PBX. And with its small footprint and wall-mounting capability, you can install the ASAP 2080 just about anywhere.
THE ASAP 2080 ALSO FEATURES:
PORT LOCK-UP PROTECTION
If a device fails to disconnect from the telephone line, the ASAP 2080 will shut down that port and release the phone line. A flashing LED indicates which device is locked out. When the device goes back on hook, the port will automatically unlock.
POWER FAILURE CONTINUITY
If power to the ASAP 2080 is cut, ports 1 and 2 still function. Additionally, the ASAP 2080 provides AC and telephone line surge protection for all connected devices.
OUTBOUND LINE SEEKING
The ASAP 2080 will select the first available line for devices calling outbound. If both lines are in use, the ASAP 2080 sends a busy signal to the device attempting the outbound call.
STATUS LED FOR EACH LINE AND PORT
The ASAP 2080 has a total of 11 LED indicators: one for power, one for Line 1,one for Line 2 and one for each of the eight ports. When a port is in use, its LED will be red when connected to Line 1 or green for Line 2.If a port device is locked up, its LED will flash rapidly.
ADVANCED CALLING PARTY CONTROL (CPC)
The ASAP 2080 can detect a port device hang up or an inbound caller hang up, releasing the ports and lines.
CNG DETECTION
CNG detection is built-in. Fax calls received on Line 2 will automatically be routed to Port 8.
DTMF TRANSFERS
Incoming calls can be directed to any port using DTMF transfer codes.
